What is Data Governance and Why is it Important?

Every company has to put guidelines in place to make sure they are handling the data they have in-house correctly.  They also need to make sure the data is cleaned and updated so the marketing and sales teams can use it in the most appropriate way to attract appropriate leads that will turn into repeat customers.
